In the Beginning...

Loaves & Fishes began as the brain-child of the Mission Committee of Christ Presbyterian Church in September 2008. At the time, we had a food pantry, but believed the food ministry would be more effective if all the churches of Pooler united in a focused effort. Gateway Community Methodist Church and Morningstar Baptist came on-board. Loaves & Fishes opened its doors in January, 2009.

Mission Statement
Loaves & Fishes Interfaith Food Ministry of Pooler, Inc. will make a difference working to support those in need within the Pooler area by providing food and other assistance as may be required.

Loaves and Fishes is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. Our Board of Directors is made up of up to two representatives from each member church. We have elected Officers and have several functioning committees: Church Raising, Fund Raising, Food Raising, Publicity/ Website and Volunteer Efforts.
